Kirk Centre Relaunch Plan and Guidelines

Kirk Centre's Current Status: Kirk Centre's doors are open on a very limited basis per Alberta Government Restrictions. Worship Groups may continue at of their rented room's 15% of the fire regulated room capacity. An email has been sent to all current renters, the capacities are marked on the doors of each room and the 100% capacities can be found HERE to calculate 15% capacity for new renters. All indoor gatherings are currently prohibited, except weddings (up to 10 people) and funerals (up to 20 people). Outdoor social gatherings are permitted of up to 1 people and 2 meter distancing in effect. Youth development activities such as Scouts, Girl Guides and 4H are allowed. Participants must be 18 years old and under. All office staff and renters who can are required to work from home. The Alberta Government has made working from home mandatory unless the employer requires a physical presence for operational effectiveness. For all the updated Regulations please click HERE.

It is Kirk Centre’s first priority to ensure the health and safety of our
staff, all of our patrons as well Edmontonians, Albertans and Canadians as a whole.


Kirk Centre will be reopening in the Alberta Government recommended stages with modifications in place as well as our usual rental agreements. Some of these modifications are, but are not restricted to:


• Each group submitting a basic COVID Response Plan.
• Each group signing off on Kirk Centre’s COVID-19 related regulations.
• Social distancing guidelines are in place.
• Maximum two groups in the building at a time. One entering by the west front door and using    the west end of the building only. And one entering by the back door using the east end of the    building only. (this means the Kirk Centre is required to make modifications to scheduled              rentals from previous years)
• Mandatory wearing of masks per City of Edmonton Bylaw 19408.

• Mandatory sanitization by group members after rental times.

 

We understand that changing your times and days of previous rentals may be difficult for your groups. We will be a flexible as we can while for your safety still ensuring there is no crossing over of group rental times.

Kirk Centre is using a disinfecting fogger on all rented room surface twice a week. We are also providing hand sanitization stations and the points of entry as well as throughout the building. Signage will aid you to determine social distancing and room capacities in every rented room. We are doing our part to ensure the safety of everyone that comes through our doors.

These guidelines and restrictions will be evolving with the guidelines and restrictions put in by the City of Edmonton, Government of Alberta, AHS and/or the Government of Canada.
